Shri Pradeep Kumar Singh Gaur brings over 18 years of experience in the passenger and industrial ropeway industry, with a focus on planning, design, execution, and operation & maintenance of ropeway systems across India and internationally. An Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, he played a pivotal role in flagship projects such as the Auli-Joshimath and Nainital ropeways.
From 1984 to 1987, he managed from Commissioning, operations and maintenance for a bi-cable ropeway in Nainital, ensuring safe and reliable transport services. His technical work includes pioneering research on automated control systems at IIT Kanpur, with contributions published through the Institution of Engineers, Kolkata, advancing ropeway safety and technology nationwide.
Mr. Gaur was honored in 1994 with an employer award for turnkey executing JOSHIMATH-AULI ROPEWAY with Commissioning & public opening therby successfully transferring global passenger ropeway technology to India, achieving a flawless safety record. He has collaborated internationally, including partnerships with OEM VOESTALPINE, Austria, enhancing his technical and operational capabilities.His leadership extends to contract negotiations and sales, working closely with senior officials and politicians to facilitate infrastructure development. He has also served on recruitment panels for ropeway projects, contributing to talent acquisition and capacity building.
His consultancy spans critical infrastructure sectors such as power distribution, including a World Bank seminar in 1999 and a long-term power distribution plan for Madhya Pradesh, along with substation studies in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi’s power load analysis.
Providing annual maintenance contracts and third-party inspections, he ensures ongoing safety and compliance in ropeway operations. He is a charter member of the Institute of Engineers, Kolkata, and was nominated for the Maharaja Mewar Foundation award in 1999 in recognition of his service.Between 1985 and 1995, he represented passenger ropeways officially, earning broad media recognition and public trust during India’s ropeway modernization. Currently, at Aarmageddon Adventures Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Gaur leads the ropeway division, blending operational expertise with research and international collaboration to deliver sustainable and innovative ropeway solutions across India.
